This site contains steep banks, flats and terraces of the North Saskatchewan River. There are small creeks in several parcels, including part of Modeste Creek. Most parcels are dominated by aspen forest with balsam poplar, paper birch and white spruce. There are pure stands of white spruce and paper birch, and a variety of shrublands.
