With its beautiful remote location surrounded by Jack Pines, Spruce, and Poplar, Machesis Lake Provincial Recreation Area makes a perfect get-away destination for all campers and nature lovers. The staff at Machesis are on site, seasonal caretakers that ensure your stay is clean and quiet. The two docks on the lake make a great place to throw in a line or just sit and enjoy the view. Located within the campground are eight equine sites equipped with horse pens, hitching posts, and manure bins. Sandy wagon trails in this area are excellent footing for horses.
