Bigelow Reservoir Provincial Recreation Area is a small, Day Use site on the banks of a recreational reservoir on Threehills Creek. It is located 25 minutes northeast of Trochu, or 40 minutes northeast of Tolman Bridge campgrounds. The vacant crown land that surrounds this small parcel of land is a pheasant release site for the Alberta Conservation Association. Bigelow Reservoir Provincial Recreation Area serves as a staging area for pheasant hunters and hunting dog trials. Off-season access to the park depends on snow conditions as there is no snow removal at this park; foot access is recommended. No open fires are permitted.
